The meeting was opened by the president , Bill D’Alesslandro , who asked a member of the West Hempstead office to lead the pledge to the flag. He asked for a minute of silence to remember our members and those in the service of the country.

Kit read the minutes of the meeting – Bill asked the members to make a motion to accept the minutes – a motion was made and seconded – the minutes were accepted.

The treasurer, Barbara Connelly, gave her report. She displayed a spreadsheet that she made available to the attendees to see if their membership was recorded correctly.

The vice-president, Danny Peluso, discussed the two upcoming classes. He will teach an air conditioning class on Thursday, April 17, at the Islip Fire Department. This is a full day class and the registration is open to the first 50 members who apply – the cost is $50. Each.

The Stemco half- day class on wheel bearings and seals is tentatively

scheduled for Tuesday, May 20. There is no charge. There will be an evening meeting in April.

He went over the new products with the members and distributed catalogs. The attendees were especially excited about their new device for emergency vehicles that will enable them to charge theircell phones and ipads. Phil offered to send the winner of the raffle a presentation package from Kussmaul. The winner was Leo Hadzigeorgiou of the Ridge Fire District.
