Bill D’Allesandro opened the meeting. He asked Joe Egan to lead the pledge to the flag and a minute of silence for our troops and past members. He asked Kit to read the minutes of the last meeting at Wantagh in June. The minutes were accepted as read. Fifty some members were in attendance.

Barbara Connelly, gave the Treasurer’s report to the members. She brought great looking down type jackets in all sizes and had the paid up members try them for size. They will be customized with their name and association logo and they will be distributed at the January meeting. Barbara reported that the Snap-On and Kusssmaul day classes were well attended and went well.

Bill introduced Steve Schuman of Waterway Long Island. He and his son had an excellent display of their new Draft Commander 3000 mobile pump testing trailer and a power point at the June meeting in Wantagh. Bill presented Steve with a framed certificate to thank him.

Bill thanked Jay Egan for hosting our association and presented him with a framed certificate. Jay repeated his department’s welcome.

Bill told the members that we vote for the officers at this meeting. There was a motion from the floor to retain the present officers. The motion was seconded and Bill D’Allessandro, President; Danny Peluso, Vice President and Barbara Connolly, Treasurer were reelected.

Bill introduced Amy Price, Northeast Regional Manager of CET Fire Pumps. Amy distributed a handout for our members to follow along as she talked about the complete line of portable fire pumps with over 20 standard models as well as compressed Air Foam Systems available with gas or diesel engines. Each pump or foam system can be a stand alone unit, skid mounted, trailer mounted, truck mounted, floating and more. CET offers custom truck manufacturing – they manufacture every part in house and produce over 1800 pumps, foam systems and vehicles annually. They service what they make. Bill thanked Amy and presented her with a framed certificate of appreciation.

Bill introduced our webmaster, Nate Berry. The pictures of this meeting and previous meetings as well as the meeting report can be seen at www.LIEVT.org.

A raffle followed with a gift certificate from CET pumps and items from Fire Research and Nassau Fire Apparatus. The next meeting will be at Copiague Fire District on Thursday, January 14, 2016. We need a host department for the March meeting.
