The next regular LIEVT dinner meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at the Coram Fire Department in Suffolk. Details will follow as soon as the speaker is confirmed. On Wednesday evening, May 14, Kussmaul Electronics will host a class at their facility in Sayville to familiarize our members with their products. The June meeting will be held at the Wantagh Fire Department in Nassau - date and speaker to follow. We are not doing a regular mailing until we have the details worked out. If you know members without email addresses please share this with them.

RSVP at left Important article for Ambulance technicians Gerry Walker recently pointed us to an important article for anyone working on Ambulances or Rescue trucks. Click this link to read the article, entitled Ambulance Transports by Jason Schneider which appeared on the Fire Chief Magazine website on May 1. The article describes the very real dangers of infectious disease transmission both to EMS personnel and technicians who work in or on our nation's rolling hospitals.
Heads Up! - Weldon Class Weldon Technology will do a class on building a working Multiplex system and adding and deleting components from that working system as well as computer diagnosis and programing. This class can be offered to a maximum of ten (10) paid up members. It will be held at Centereach Fire Department - 9 South Washington Ave. Centereach, NY. Cost to the member for the entire course will be $100 including Food and Break. |
